Sierra Resource Conservation District (SRCD), in partnership with OTFSC, offers free, confidential Fire Risk Evaluations (FRE) to homeowners in our community.
 

• A completed FRE provides a second opinion — identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to your home and property from wildfire.  

• A completed FRE is the first step in potentially qualifying for free work around your home.

• A completed FRE Is the first step to become part of a Firewise Community, which ultimately may lower your homeowner’s insurance.

When you sign up for an FRE, SRCD will send a forestry team member from their staff to conduct an onsite assessment of your property.

Once the assessment is complete, you will receive a detailed report with recommendations for making your property safer.
